BlackLight is a performance ethnography project. We utilize the creativity and critical insight of a multigenerational group of women to reimagine the possibilities for living in under-resourced urban environments.
BlackLight is pleased to be a part of the CUNY Grad Center’s conference on Protest and Public Space coming-up next week on May 2nd and 3rd.
Aimee Cox and Monica Barra will be presenting on some of the amazing experiences and insights gathered from their work with the BlackLight project in Newark during the “Social Movements, Bodies, and Protest” session on May 3rd, from 11:30-1:15pm in room 5414 at the CUNY Grad Center.
The conference is free and open to the public. There is a line-up of amazing speakers discussing their research and activist work from all parts of the globe. Reception follows each day of panels. Hope to see you there!
