Speaker: Aimee Cox, Ph. D., Assistant Professor of African American and African Studies at Rutgers-Newark

The BlackLight Project Founder and Creative Director, Aimee Cox will frame this participatory workshop with a brief talk on the artistic activist work of the project and its grounding in Diasporic African cultural traditions. Her students will perform some of their recent work as they encourage the audience to move and express their own sense of community, history and personal identity through dance.
